Our vocation begins at Baptism. It is a vocational call that invites us to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is then our responsibility to be a reflection of that relationship by the way we choose to live our lives. Entering the vowed life in a particular religious congregation is one way of doing this.

As Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis, we profess the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, and live our lives in Franciscan simplicity according to The Rule and Life of The Brothers and Sisters of The Third Order Regular of St. Francis. Our lifestyle as Franciscans is evangelical. The evangelical life is rooted in the individual's response to the Gospel and calls us to live in right relationship with God, others, and all creation. The vocation to an evangelical life is a call to experience God's goodness more deeply, to respond lovingly to the needs around us, and to live in communion with creation.

We welcome interested women to visit us and explore the possibility of becoming a Sister of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis.
