Women and men who desire to be Associates come from a wide variety of backgrounds, knowledge of the Christian faith, Franciscan tradition and of the spirit of the congregation. For that reason, the time for exploring the call is flexible.

A period of orientation provides each prospective Associate the opportunity to gain understanding and experience of the Associate Relationship and sufficient knowledge of the congregation, so that the person may move toward commitment in freedom and peace.
