Honored to Assist
Sister Marge first heard about the movement to Marymount at the Fall Assembly in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. As the plan was explained to everyone, Sister Marge felt strongly that she wanted to be available to help the Leadership Team in whatever way she could to assist others with the move. With gratitude Sister Michelle asked her if she would accompany Sister Irene as her “moving partner” when the time was right. As things worked out, Sister Marge drove to Marymount on February 13th and moved into an independent apartment in the Congregational Home. The next day Sister Irene flew into Cleveland and settled into her new home at Villa St. Joseph.
Since then, Sister Marge shares that she is energized by all the people she encounters each day; the Sisters, the staff, and other residents. She enjoys joining her Sisters in the dining room for the noon time meal and talking about what is going on in each other’s lives. Sister Marge has already joined the “Build with Living Stones” book discussion group and her new local community. She also continues to help Sister Irene and the other newly arrived Sisters at Marymount Place and Villa St. Joseph as they all begin adjusting to their new home. She feels honored to offer this assistance to her Sisters. For Sister Marge the adjustment has been easy, because in her own words, “I am at home wherever our Sisters are.”
