Morning Prayer

Lord my God,
I have risen from the prayer of death, from my sleep,
and now share in that daily resurrection called dawn.
May I, by this time of communion with You,
once again set my feet to the path of holiness.

The light of this new day touches all things,
touches trees, grass, hills and all the earth.
In all the events of this day,
Your Divine Light, O God, will touch all
as it shines forth from within Your creation.
Lord, grant that I may see.

I join myself now
with all who seek You in truth and purity of heart
as I enter into the prayer of stillness.
