Morning Prayer

Lord God, Creator of All That Is,
a graceful salutation to You,
who is gloriously present in all the earth,
in the heavens and in that  undiscovered beyond.
I bow before You and adore You.

You are the Source of Light whose day star, the sun,
has joyfully announced the beginning of a new day.
This is the first day of the week;
at sunrise, on such a day as this,
Your Son, Jesus, rose from the tomb by Your holy power.
This day is holy; may I be holy together with it.

May this morning prayer of mine, simple and silent,
be joined with the prayers of all Your people
that rise to You today.
